Tan Ah Lai was appointed Independent Non-Executive Director of Guan Chong Berhad on 26 October 2007 and being re-designated as Independent Non-Executive Chairman on 15 April 2021. He is a fellow member of the ACCA and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He started his career in 1990 as an Audit Assistant in a public accounting firm. In 2011, he incorporated his own consulting firm which provides financial and management consultation, tax and accounting related services. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, management and tax related works. Currently, he is the Independent Non-Executive Director of Crescendo Corporation Berhad.
He has been re-designated as Member of the Audit Committee on 15 April 2021 and a Member of the Risk Management Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee of the Company.
